Sweet Potato
I have 2 purple, one orange, and a White,
Sweet Potato. I use the Sweet potato as a
living mulch, in my garden and greenhouse.
I have one that has purple flesh, and one
that is only purple next to the skin. Both
Purple ones are Oak Leaved ones. I also
have a Oak Leaved Sweet potato, that is an
old variety that was / is used for greens. It
has a white tuber and is not sweet, but is
very good. I also have Centennial Sweet
potato, it is orange fleshed, and they get
very big. I highly recommend Sweet Potato
greens, They are high in protein and quite
good tasting. I think that Sweet Potato
greens should be a staple for every health
conscious person, and the sweet tuber is an
added bonus.
